About the role

We are looking for a Demand Planning Manager to join our team with a real can-do attitude who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and willing to go the extra mile for our customers. The role of Demand Planning Manager is to ensure their respective warehouse operates efficiently on a day-to-day basis, managing the inbound and capacity in line with customer bulk targets, total utilisation and promo requirements, as well as the management and coaching of their demand planners.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • To develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including a proactive understanding of issues to escalate to Supply Chain Manager or Head of Supply Chain.
  • Accountable for the coaching, regular 1:1s, development and performance of Demand Planners and Support Demand Planners , fostering an environment in which all team members have the platform for success.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that drive an improvement in forecast accuracy, challenge, and influence suppliers to generate an improvement in service, responsiveness and efficiency.
  • You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with both customers and suppliers, managing regular performance reviews, instigating urgent reviews with poor performance suppliers and being the escalation point for customer and supplier issues.
  • Accountability for the management of the respective warehouse including utilisation targets (Inbound review and caps), customer allocations and customer bulk targets.
  • Ensure a consistent balance of priorities and productivity between the business goals and demands of customers, particularly in relation to operational efficiency (cost) and customer expectations.
  • Deliver outlined insights in the market both nationally and globally supported by a review of historical sales trends and RCA to issues in addition to excellent communication with customers and industry knowledge.
