About the role

Exciting opportunities have arisen at RDC2 Haydock Class 1 Drivers to work either:



      • 27Hr Contract Day Shift
      • Monday, Friday & Saturday Shift Pattern
      • Start time either 02:00 - 03:00 or 08:00 - 11:00

    •  

      • 27Hrs Contract Night Shift
      • Sunday, Thursday & Friday Shift Pattern
      • Start time either 17:30 - 19:00 or 21:00 - 22:00

Day Shift will include Saturday working (Weekend Premium applied)

Night Shift will include either or both Sunday & Friday (Weekend & Night Premium applied)

Main Responsibilities

Delivering palletised goods on time to branches and/or depots within the Booker network

Tipping and loading vehicles as necessary

Collection of backloads from 3rd party suppliers

Normal daily delivery workload is 1 / 2 runs, mostly single drop with occasional 2nd drop  

Effective verbal and written communication with site and external customers

Knowledge of Drivers Hours and WTD, ensuring legality at all times. 

Keeping our fleet clean & tidy, damage free and reporting of all vehicle defects

You will need

LGV 1 Licence

Experience of digital tachograph

Geographical knowledge

Experience of curtain sided trailers      (Desired but training can be given)

Operation of refrigerated trailers          (Desired but training can be given)      

Driver CPC qualification                      Yearly ongoing DCPC training is provided

Newly Qualified drivers will be considered

Pay rate is: £17.43

Rotas: 

Monday, Friday and Saturday (Start times: 02:00 - 03:00) or (08:00 - 11:00)

OR 

Thursday, Friday and Sunday (Start times: 17:30 - 19:00 or 21:00 - 22:00)
