About the role

The IS Senior Analyst - Web works within in the Booker IS team, and is responsible for delivering effective, secure and efficient systems in digital to help improve customer satisfaction and cash profit.  The role sits within the Web projects team and is responsible for the delivery of projects and changes for our web sites and apps.  The ideal candidate will have experience of developing digital systems and web technology in a fast paced, customer focussed business, and will be enthusiastic about delivering system enhancements, analysing bugs and data, and finding solutions to complex issues. 

• Manage junior members of the projects team, their performance and progression.
• Monitor system KPIs.
• Support delivery of the website/ digital systems roadmap.

You will need

• Previous experience of working in an IT or Technical role (ideally at least 2 years of experience in a similar role).
• Good practical experience of web technologies like HTML, XML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript etc.
• Knowledge of PHP including Twig templating is desirable.
• A basic understanding of Linux based commands preferably Redhat.
• Experience of using system performance tools such as Datadog and Google Analytics.
• Proven experience of using testing and issue management tools such as Jira.
• Service management skills with experience of successful troubleshooting issues and support provision.
• Knowledge and understanding of web site analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
